Stoic

She swallowed insults with a smile.
He endured injuries with a smile.
She embraced despair with a smile.
He encountered sorrow with a smile.
She faced separation with a smile.
He bore troubles with a smile.
She welcomed hopelessness with a smile.
He adopted loneliness with a smile.
She accepted failure with a smile.
He will meet death with a smile.
Today they smile,
Not because they are happy.
It is because they forgot
How to cry.

That is the most depressing thing I have read in a while. :(

I second that...
will have to read something cheerful now.

If you forgot how to cry you can just frown and chop some onions.

Go Vaa!
Umm..., sorry, go Vaa 2.0! ;-).

I don't see why this is depressing. Only way I see it so is if you feel bad that you aren't as impervious to unhappiness (which regrettably I ain't).

I like it.
I guess you're spending too much time with me. Apparently, misery is contagious. :D

@Banshee,
It was meant to be. Thank God, I got the mood right.

@Whitelighter,
I am sorry. But I recommend last year's Saarang SFM entry called HOMELAND, starring Kavitha. I am sure you won't feel depressed for the next 3 millenia.

@Kogi,
I don't like onions. Maybe you could teach.

@Dadi,
Thanks. And I thought you knew that I did not like onions.

@Slinky,
Sigh. You are a true member of the Bulbers' Society. Anyway, happy to hear that you are happy and read it in a different way.

@Sooper,
Would you gift me a bear hug? That is what I need at the moment.

@Ammu,
Yeah. But I think I knew this was coming. It was long due. Don't worry, you are not guilty. I still love you.
